Rev. Katherine is available as a professional spiritual counselor. As a client, you set an intention for what you want, and she will provide you with spiritual tools that heal, comfort, and encourage you to access and follow your own inner guidance. God is Abundance, Harmony, Reconciliation, Peace of Mind, and Love, and we tap into the unlimited potential of this creative energy each time we set an intention. Working with a spiritual counselor is similar to working with many types of therapists, although the perspective is different. In New Thought, we believe that our consciousness (thoughts, beliefs, attitudes, etc) creates our reality. We start with the basic spiritual principle that the client is already perfect (spiritually whole), and our work is to assist them in identifying and revealing their inner wholeness through a shift in consciousness.
The client brings any issue (e.g. health, financial, work/career, relationship, etc), and the spiritual counselor assists them in improving their life experiences and conditions through the use of spiritual principles. Healing happens as we do the necessary work in our own belief system that re-aligns us with our relationship with Spirit, and this puts a new cause into motion that results in a changed condition.
A counseling session with a counselor lasts approximately one hour, and can take place in person or by phone. While some people choose to have a weekly session with their counselor, others make appointments according to their needs. Each session begins with prayer and ends with a scientific form of healing prayer called Spiritual Mind Treatment. In a Spiritual Mind Treatment, the counselor assists the client in realizing the spiritual truth about their life, thus bringing about a change in consciousness, which results in a change in the condition.
The counselor holds the confidence of clients sacred and inviolate. What is shared between counselor and client in a session is never discussed with anyone, except where the counselor is legally bound to report specific events. |
