Who, ME? Exploring the Role of Judgment on our Spiritual Path
A 3-week Teleclass*- three Thursdays, June 24, July 1, & July 8, 6:00-7:30pm PST
Do you ever have a hard time seeing the face of Spirit in other people or yourself? Do you sometimes venture into the land of self-righteousness, lingering with the sense of superiority that dwells there?
In this 4-week informal and interactive Teleclass*, we will transform unproductive patterns in an atmosphere of safety and love. We’ll set clear intentions, explore our relationship with our judgment, and as always, learn from each other’s insights and wisdom.
All spiritual paths include a common element: letting go of whatever behavioral choices we make that block us from being a channel for Divine Love, Healing, and Power. It’s hard to see God in everyone when we resent, blame, or need others to change their behavior in order to gain our acceptance or approval. We are often unaware of how our judgmental behavior acts as an anchor tied to our leg as we dance down our spiritual path. Criticism and judgment reveal the “Iceberg Effect:” our judgmental behavior toward others is the tip of the iceberg (the top 15%), and the rest that is unseen (the 85% below the surface) represents how much we judge ourselves.
Here’s some areas we’ll cover as we maintain our sense of humor. Judging includes:
- Resenting or blaming others or ourselves for behavior we believe is unacceptable
- Resistance to forgiving ourselves or others
- Strict internal standards of correctness that lead to self-criticism
- The need to feel “better than” or “less than” others - getting an illusory feeling of satisfaction from being “right” or correcting the errors of others.
- People pleasing, thinking we know what’s best for others, enabling, rescuing, and other codependent behaviors.
- Victim consciousness and self-pity

Looking Up in a Down Economy
A 3-week Teleclass* - 3 Wednesdays: July 14, 21, and 28th - 6:00-7:30p.m. PST
Facilitated by Rev. Katherine Q. Revoir
Are you looking at the economy and wondering how you will hold onto your spiritual hat? Do you feel fear of your financial future creeping around as you watch the news?
In this 3-week class we will play with the old Sufi phrase, “Trust in Allah AND tie up your camel.” We will apply timeless and unchanging spiritual principles that guide us as we grow the seeds of our intentions and activate the Law of Attraction. Non-metaphysicians look to the physical world for physical solutions. Metaphysicians look within to their consciousness for solutions. We will also tie up our camels using tools that are the practical part of supporting our spiritual deepening and being good stewards of our money. Informal and supportive group interaction adds the elements of fun and community.
Some areas we’ll cover as we maintain our sense of humor:
- We’re not our stuff, so let’s not define ourselves by what we have
- Looking at where we are financially, where we want to be, and taking physical and metaphysical action steps to get there
- Identifying, prioritizing, and solidifying our spiritual investments
- Simple tools for creating a budget, and ideas on easy ways to cut expenses and spending
- Steeping ourselves in God as our true Source
3-Week Teleclass*: Looking Up in a Down Economy
When: 3 Wednesdays: July 14, 21, and 28th - 6:00-7:30p.m. PST

HERE’S A TESTAMONIAL:
“I had a very positive experience in this class, learning to not get caught up in the news, other people's experiences, and my own emotional chatter. There were many valuable exercises that made me aware of my negative patterns and helped me see that I am the abundance I am looking for. I was refreshed and invigorated by my own power and personal growth.” Kim Kreis
“I couldn’t wait for success, so I went ahead without it.” -Jonathan Winters

Coming Home to Your Authentic Self: A Book Study Class on Spiritual Liberation
by Michael Bernard Beckwith
Facilitated by Rev. Katherine Revoir
Rev. Michael defines Authentic Self as “…our inherently enlightened state, what the Buddhists call our original face and Christians define as soul.” In this 8-week class we will study Spiritual Liberation as a guide for living in joy and harmony with all aspects of our life.
The many mystical teachings are in plain English, and in this fun and informal class, Rev. Katherine offers tools for you to ignite a deeper dimension of your being.
Using right-brained plexercises (play exercises) and your inherent wisdom, you will:
- Set intentions for what you want to create, release, or transform, and then use weekly creative visuals that support your process.
- Drop dependency on the world as your source, coming home to your internal chamber to access everything you need.
- Explore, develop or deepen your spiritual practice, including prayer, play, meditation, pondering, and down time.
When and Where: 8 Wednesdays, January 20 – March 10, 6:30-9:00pm, at our Sausalito classroom.
Cost: The registration is $60 and an agreement to share (tithe) 10% of UNexpected income during the course, plus the cost of the book Spiritual Liberation ($26).
Register: Please sign up early, as there are intentions to set before the first class. Call Katherine at 415 381-9161 (email KatherineQ@RicherLiving.org).
This class is solely Rev. Katherine’s interpretation of the principles from Spiritual Liberation. |

Planting Your Seeds: An Intentions Playshop for 2010
Saturday, January 9, 10:00am-4:00pm
Unity in Marin, Novato
The Universe is a “YES” machine, but it needs something to say yes to. When we make a plan, we are primarily using our logical and analytical left-brain. With a plan in place, we can more easily use our right brain, which allows us more creativity and an easier access to our intuition. You are invited fire up BOTH sides of your brain and kick off the New Year with a fun playshop where we will use a spiritual perspective to give our brain a plan, and plant the seeds of our wildest dreams for 2010.
We will also:
- Set goals, but more importantly, we’ll identify our deepest intent and allow IT to be the foundation of our goals and intentions.
- Joyfully express our spontaneous, multi-dimensional selves through movement, games, and creative play.
- Hobnob with a delightful community of metaphysicians
- Delight in our innate creative selfr-expression
- Enjoy a delicious lunch that we bring for ourselves
This class is a joint venture of Center for Richer Living and Unity in Marin.
“Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.”

A Santa Cruz class at Inner Light Ministries:
Getting Off the Victim Triangle and Into the Win-win Circle
Facilitated by: Rev. Katherine Revoir and Valerie Joi Fiddmont
Saturday October 17, 9:30am - 5:00p.m.

If you’ve ever felt the need to fix or change others, then judged them, and then wondered why you felt angry, invisible, or unappreciated, then you were probably on the Victim Triangle. The three stations of the triangle are Rescuer, Persecutor, and Victim (aka Hero, Villain, Victim). This playshop will teach you a proactive approach for transforming any cycle of negative ego into the Win-win Circle, where non-judgment, forgiveness, and spiritual self-care prevail.
Here you make a shift from being dependent on outside sources for power and fulfillment to relying on your own sense of Self.
Using creative visuals, role-playing, and group discussion, you will:
- Identify the behaviors of the triangle and transform them from Victim to Win-win
- Learn the difference between giving from the heart and giving from obligation.
- Learn tools for staying open and receptive to grow from any situation
- Become more loving by setting clear boundaries with yourself and others.
- “The surest way to make ourselves crazy is to get involved in other people’s business, & the quickest way to become sane & happy is to tend to our own affairs.” Melody Beattie
“Whatever you push against will stick to you.” ~ Rev. Katherine
Valerie Joi Fiddmont is the Minister of Music and Arts for Inner Light Ministries, where she is the founding director of the Inner Light Choir and creator of the ILM Singing Circle Music Ministry Experience. As a New Thought Practitioner with an MBA from Rice University, she is grounded in the practical and the divine. Her CD of original compositions, Singing the Sacred Yes, was released in 2006. |
